Pitch These Healthy Apps for Baseball Season

The Mariners kick off baseball season at the end of this month on March 28. Baseball season creates community, and with lots of people comes lots of food! That’s where we come in with a few recs to please your friends and family with healthy yet delicious food while watching the game.

Bruschetta Board

Think of charcuterie but less fancy. This bruschetta board covers many of the food groups while still being snack-y and enjoyable! The best part is that it’s completely customizable. However, if you’re looking for some inspiration, this recipe suggests bread (pick your favorite baguette), tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese (again, up to you), olives, salami, and nuts (may we suggest candied?) to top it off.

Crostini

Who said game day couldn’t be fancy? These crostinis are the perfect snack to pop in your mouth! Like the bruschetta board, the toppings are completely up to you! Just toast your crostini pieces (sliced baguette pieces are perfect here) and top how you like. From smoked salmon to caprese, the possibilities are endless.

Artichoke Dip

A guaranteed crowd pleaser, artichoke dip is always a good idea! It is the perfect balance of consuming healthy vegetables while still eating chips (arguably the best part). To make your dip slightly healthier, substitute Greek yogurt and cream cheese for the sour cream and mayonnaise. With some seasoning and cheese, it still tastes just as great as any other artichoke dip!

Mango Salsa

Speaking of chips, it’s not a party without salsa! Since we just delivered our Champagne mangoes, these mangoes are the perfect addition to this fresh and delicious salsa. Add in all your favorite salsa ingredients such as red onion, peppers, cilantro, and jalapenos with some seasoning for the ultimate mango salsa
