What Women’s History Month Means to ThirdLeaf NW

The new month means new ideas and people to celebrate. For March, we are celebrating women and their successes throughout history. As a proud women-owned company, ThirdLeaf NW knows a thing or two about what it means to have a passion and use it for good.

Women’s History Month started as Women’s History Week until 1987 when Congress (finally) passed a law distinguishing the month of March as Women’s History Month. Now, every year since 1995, the president makes an annual proclamation for Women’s History Month in March which celebrates women’s success throughout American history.

Since gaining our independence, women have paved the way for future generations to become leaders in society who cultivate intellectual and cultural advancements. Though women still have a long fight ahead of them, there have recently been major breakthroughs. In 2022, the number of women in senior management roles increased by 32%. With this jump, companies have seen progress in many areas of business such as a more diverse and innovative workforce. Women are also more equipped to obtain and analyze consumer insights as well as implement soft skills that provide higher ROI over time.

The pros of women in leadership positions outweigh the cons with hard numbers. However, it takes a team to support and empower women in the workplace to become the best versions of themselves. Fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment that values everyone’s insights and opinions is crucial. Likewise, flexibility for the work-life balance is key to maintaining healthy mindfulness and overall wellness that promotes creativity and innovation in the workplace.

The women of ThirdLeaf NW are proud to provide your company with fresh, local fruits weekly. If it weren’t for the women before us, we would not be where we are today, providing healthy options in the workplace to benefit your teams’ success.
