This Tuesday, September 7 is National Beer Lovers Day!
You may have already had your fair share of pints for the week on Labor Day, but we’re giving you permission to crack open a cold one today anyway.
Summer may be over, but fall isn’t all bad. Sure, there’s unpredictable temperatures, miserable rain, obscenely expensive Halloween costumes, and chapped lips… but who cares about all of that when you have fall beer!
If there’s one thing Washington is good at, it’s making beer. The state is home to over 150 craft breweries, a few of which have special autumn brews (already available!) that you have to check out:
Elysian Brewing – This local brewery rules the autumn beer scene with multiple beloved brews including Night Owl Pumpkin Ale, The Great Pumpkin Imperial Pumpkin Ale, and Punkuccino Coffee Pumpkin Ale.
Reuben’s Brews – Another refreshing yet heart-warming fall drink is Reuben’s Brews Autumn Harvest Imperial Pumpkin Ale, featuring pumpkin and nutty flavors.
Ghostfish Brewing – As if being a gluten-free brewery isn’t unique enough, this local gem’s Lunar Harvest Belgian Style Pumpkin Ale that will give you all the warm fall fuzzies.
Be sure to check out local events around the state where you can try the above drinks and many more, such as Fremont Oktoberfest, the Great Pumpkin Beer Festival, and Oktoberfest NW!
And if beer isn’t really your style, don’t dismay! Check out this snazzy Pumpkin Martini Mocktail recipe! It tastes like fall in a glass, and it makes you feel downright fancy (even when you’re in your pajamas on a Friday night).
