ThirdLeaf NW clients donates weekly deliveries to women’s shelter

Women’s History Month continues on the blog this week and we wanted to shine a light on one of our clients who made an impact in the lives of those less fortunate.

For example, on behalf of one of our clients, ThirdLeaf NW donated over 300 pieces of fresh fruit including four apple varieties, bananas, and stem & leaf oranges to The Sophia Way Women’s Shelter.

The Sophia Way is a local non-profit which takes on homelessness; specifically in single women. TSW provides shelter, housing an outreach program and supportive case management.

TSW’s 2018 numbers are not yet available on their website, but in 2017, they helped 125 women find housing and served 232 homeless women at their emergency shelter. These numbers were up 400 and 70 percent respectively.

Women experiencing homelessness and/or looking for resources, should contact our Outreach Navigator, Laura Eberhard at (425) 393-3446 or laura@sophiaway.org.

Coming up on June 1, 2019, The Sophia Way will host its annual gala and auction at the Bellevue Hyatt Regency. The proceeds will go to benefit the shelter and its needs. Tickets are available for purchase here.

None of this would have been possible if it weren’t for our clients selfless donation of their weekly fruit delivery. We wanted to thank them and give them a little shine this week and highlight another hugely worthy non-profit.
