Outdoor Summer Concerts Are Back!

One of the best parts of warmer weather (besides the abundance of fresh fruits) is going to outdoor concerts! There’s something so special about getting a group of friends together and dancing to live music. We’re lucky to live in an area that has several great outdoor venues. Here are some outdoor concert venue that’s within an hour of Seattle to get you excited for concerts this summer.

Marymoor Live

Marymoor Live at Marymoor Park in Redmond hosts a summer concert series with huge acts this year such as Iggy Pop, Sublime and Band of Horses! This 5,000-person venue offers a natural environment in the historic district for the perfect scenery to enjoy an outdoor concert. Be sure to bring cash for parking, and give yourself plenty of time to enjoy all the food trucks and beer tents.

Chateau Ste Michelle

This winery-concert venue hybrid hosts some of the greatest events from wine tastings to epic concerts! This historic venue is bringing in major talent this year – Earth, Wind & Fire, Counting Crows, James Taylor, just to name a few. Bring your charcuterie and blanket, this concert series is one you won’t want to miss.

Remlinger Farms

This relatively new music venue just started hosting concerts last year, but you’d never know based on their stellar summer concert lineup! Leon Bridges just played there this past weekend; they’ll host LCD Soundsystem, Modest Mouse, The Teskey Brothers and more in the coming months! This family-friendly farm also has a brewery, arcade, restaurant, and more. If you happen to stop by later in the year, they host an AMAZING Fall Farm Festival which includes a pumpkin patch, corn maze and endless park rides that are people of all ages. You can find information on concerts and everything else this farm does right here.

Things to remember for outdoor concerts:

As much fun as outdoor performances are, it is important to stay safe and healthy while attending these events. Make sure to drink lots of water and wear appropriate clothing depending on the weather. Also, sunscreen is a must – even if it’s cloudy! Other items you may want to consider bringing are portable chargers, sunglasses, bug spray, a hat, rain ponchos, and hand wipes. You’ll be grateful for these items, especially if it is a day-long event!

Oh, and if the options above didn’t excite you enough, there’s plenty more local venues with great music to check out.
